Repositioning and resizing windows isn’t probably the most entertaining subject out there, but as we do those two all day long, I thought it would be interesting to share a few thoughts on an app I’ve stumbled upon lately.

You probably all know Divvy, Cinch, or SizeUp.

They pretty much do the same thing, but at a price. If you don’t know Spectacle, you may wanna give it a go — i will try not to sound too much like a salesman here — as it’s a very cool, simple, non-obtrusive AND free mac-based app for resizing and repositioning windows — and I failed.

To read about the app and download it, go there or fork it on Github.

Once installed, you’ll have to enable access for assistive devices.

Review your shortcuts, change them if you wish, and start getting more productive with your open windows…

You can run the app in the background or add it in the status menu.
People having chosen not to purchase total finder will love the side by side finder windows….
